Today, 6th of January is the feast of the epiphany but here in Ireland it is also Women’s Christmas – Nollaig na mBan.
To mark the occasion I have written a guest post for the Anti Room Blog which you can read here.
Enjoy!

oh my dear, I did this once.
We used to have a 12th Night Party on or near this date but I'm so tired from not-women's christmas that I can't imagine! I'll pop over and see you.
Really interesting post! I must admit, I'd never even heard of Nollaig na mBan so it was an education for me.
I was very confused last year when a friend texted me on 6th Jan to wish me a Happy Little Women's Christmas. It seems like a very odd occasion to me. I'm taking great delight in getting the tree out and everything packed away for another year!
Great post Barbara, I did think of Nollaig na Mban as I ran around yesterday.
I will however take a few moments on Monday when the kids get back to school.
I hope you enjoyed your tea! I loved the post – very interested in what you had to say about being a housewife, (hate the word!)…I really enjoyed this years womens christmas- wine with old friends…
Celebrated on my own here. No-one knows about this most important holiday here!
jajajaja sound like you passed a complicate situation, is always hard this dates, you know think in gifts and presents for the family, friends and lover.
